TOTO spare part D46965R is a Soft Landing Unit (Lid) used in TOTO toilet seats with a soft-close lid mechanism. Its primary uses are:
- Provides soft-close operation for the toilet lid, allowing it to close slowly and quietly instead of slamming shut.
- Reduces wear and tear on the lid, hinges, and toilet bowl by minimizing impact.
- Improves safety, helping prevent fingers from being pinched by a rapidly falling lid.
- Reduces noise, especially useful in homes, hotels, and commercial restrooms.
- Replacement part for a worn or failed soft-close damper when the lid starts dropping abruptly instead of closing gently.
Typical symptoms indicating the D46965R needs replacement include:
- The lid no longer closes slowly.
- The lid falls or slams shut.
- The soft-close action is uneven or has stopped working altogether.
If you can share your TOTO toilet seat model number (for example, TCW1211A or another model printed underneath the seat), I can confirm whether D46965R is the correct spare for your toilet.
